Our love for the mastiff began several years ago with our 180 pound English Mastiff.  His name was Dauber, a beautiful black brindle!  He lived almost 10 years and brought delight to everyone who knew him. He could play the guitar with his tail!  After he died, we knew we wanted another mastiff, but decided to downsize a little.  After careful research into the breed, we decided we wanted a Cane Corso Italian Mastiff.   We liked the cropped tail and less drooling.  We also liked that the Cane Corso, while still very much a mastiff, is a lot more frisky than the Big English!

Diesel
After a long search for a high quality Corso with stable temperament, we found our new boy, Diesel!  Everyone loves Diesel! The good times and laughter this dog has brought to our family is just unbelievable!   We call him our wiggle-butt because he always has a happy wiggle when people are around!   He's a very friendly guy, loves to swim, run, and just hang out with the family!  Although he comes from an impressive pedigree of  champion show dogs, we chose Diesel to be our pet, first and foremost.  We decided to keep his natural ears, as you can see in his photos.

Brunelli

We later added our beautiful blue-brindle, Brunelli, to the family.  She came from a  breeder who enjoyed showing dogs, and both her mother and father were International Rare Breed 'Grand Champions'!  We thought it would be fun to put Brunelli in the show ring too, and she championed as a young puppy, winning several Best In Shows!   As you can see, her ears are cropped which gives her head more definition.  Cropping the ears completely changes the look of a Cane Corso.

Brunelli and Diesel are wonderful pets to our family.  They live inside the house with us, yet they love to run and play outdoors too.  Each has a very stable temperament!  They are exactly what the breed should be:  friendly, confident, loyal, and protective only when they need to be.  Instinctively, this breed is able to sense when they need to protect.
